The Tide Turns in the Pacific Wars
The Battle of Midway led to the tide turning in the Pacific wars, and, ultimately, Japan surrendering on VJ Day, September 2, 1945 due to the Allied blockade, which would not have happened if the US lost Midway, that destroyed Japan’s economy and the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Japan surrendered aboard the USS Missouri on September 2, 1945 at 9:04 A.M.
